Allied Domecq Spirits & Wine (UK) Ltd (ADUK) has announced that Perrier-Jouët Champagne will again be a sponsor at this year’s Henley Festival of Music & the Arts, enhancing the brand’s well-established links with the Arts and building on the 100th Anniversary celebrations for the Belle Époque bottle design last year.

From 9th to 13th July up to 5,000 visitors a day will converge on Henley to enjoy a range of concerts, recitals and exhibitions on the banks of the River Thames. Perrier-Jouët is sponsoring two of the Festival’s best-loved watering holes – the Water’s Edge and the Belle Epoque bar, both ideal spots for patrons to soak up the Festival atmosphere, sipping their favourite Perrier-Jouët Champagne.

A host of top international artists are headlining the event including opera stars Lesley Garrett and Bryn Terfel, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, renowned jazz singer Stacey Kent, Kiki Dee, Sir Tim Rice, Björn Again and the Fine Young Cannibals.  Other attractions include six galleries of visual art and the Festival’s own Company of Resident Artistes providing ‘street’ style theatre throughout the event.

Mark Wallace, Senior Brand Manager for Perrier-Jouët at ADUK, comments, “The Henley Festival is absolutely right for Perrier-Jouët Champagne because the combination of top international music and a uniquely beautiful and romantic setting perfectly reflects the style, sophistication and passion of the brand.”

“This is the second year that Perrier-Jouët has been a sponsor, although the brand was first involved with the Festival 21 years ago when it was established by well known industry personality and entrepreneur Roy Ackerman.  Since then the Festival has grown to attract up to 25,000 visitors each year and has become a firm favourite amongst Perrier-Jouët core consumers.”
