Beringer Blass Wine Estates Ltd has appointed Jefferson Hunt Communication Consultants Ltd as its new UK press office to handle trade and consumer media relations for all Beringer Wines within the Beringer Blass portfolio.

The appointment follows the recent establishment of a new marketing team for Beringer Blass Wine Estates and signals the start of renewed focus for the Beringer brand within Europe.

Norbert Heinl, European Brand Manager at Beringer Blass, comments, “Beringer Wines currently enjoy a niche following amongst discerning wine consumers aged 28 to 45 in the UK.  The brand has an established national distribution within the hotel and restaurant sector of the on trade, but the potential of the off trade currently remains untapped.  We will be investing in a range of brand building activities in the coming months to support our distribution drive in this area.”
