West Country based Jefferson Hunt Communication Consultants (JHC) has just celebrated its first anniversary of successful trading with the recent recruitment of PR professional, Bryony Wright, bringing wine expertise and further PR skills to the team.

Wright works alongside Mark Hunt, founder of Jefferson Hunt Communication Consultants, managing business to business communications for Allied Domecq's wine and champagne brands. Allied Domecq Spirits and Wine Ltd (ADUK) has been JHC's biggest account since February 2001, when it transferred from Kable PR.

Wright began her PR career at Shandwick in the late 1980s working on a number of clients including McVitie's, Terry’s and Acer Engineering. After a spell in-house at Scope she joined Wessex Water's corporate communications team as PR Project Manager, responsible for external communications for the water supply side of the business, sponsorship, parliamentary liaison and corporate entertainment.

In 1995 she left PR to pursue a career in the wine industry and worked in retail before setting up her own business as an independent wine educator.

"After five years working on my own I felt the time was right to change tack again," says Wright. "The opportunity to combine both my PR and wine skills at JHC was something I couldn’t resist!"

"Bryony's appointment marks the beginning of a new phase of expansion for JHC" remarked Hunt. "With her skills on board we are now planning a period of aggressive new business development from January 2002" he added.
